Motion portrait inspired by Minh-Ha T. Pham's many published books on the politics of Asian women's relationship to the garment industry and the labour it employs. As you go up in the fashion industry's hierarchy, the work of the underpaid, Third World women workers become less and less discussed. Instead, male designers are usually found to be representing the face and future of this industry. This rotoscope portrait aims for women to think about the limits of ethical consumerism in fashion.
